Statue depicting Florence Nightingale, Staffordshire, England, 1851-1900
A large number of figurines were made commemorating Florence Nightingale (1820-1910). A famous figure in her day, Nightingale is remembered for the radical changes she brought to nursing after her visits to field hospitals during the Crimean War (1853-56).
