The Museum is undergoing a number of changes and some of our displays are closed while we create exciting new galleries.
Our fourth and fifth floor medicine galleries, Glimpses of Medical History and Science and Art of Medicine (including Psychology: Mind Your Head), are closed as we prepare for new Medicine galleries opening in 2019.
In the meantime you can continue to explore aspects of medicine in a small temporary display of our medical collections entitled Journeys Through Medicine: Henry Wellcome’s Legacy, and in the Making the Modern World gallery. While these have some content relevant to medicine through time courses, the scope is limited and we would strongly recommend a planning visit to assess whether a school trip would meet your intended learning outcomes.
Who am I? remains a good gallery to visit in relation to Psychology.
Cosmos & Culture, Agriculture and Measuring Time
These three galleries on level 1 will close in January 2017 so that we can prepare the area for the new medical galleries.
First floor picnic area
The first floor picnic area will also close in January 2017 so that we can prepare the area for the new medical galleries. Please use the picnic spaces on level -1 and level 3.
