'Donut', Mike Stubbs (2003)

In our culture, fast cars can represent power, status, fun and freedom. We love to use our cars. But we forget that petrol is made from oil, a natural resource that won’t last forever.

‘Donut’ - is one of two artworks specifically commissioned for the Energy gallery. It is a video and poem made by the artist Mike Stubbs. Mike loves fast cars and speed. Here he demonstrates his continued obsession with these through a combination of video and poetry.
