Please note, due to the high level of demand, in addition to the timed ticket to enter the Game On exhibition, a separate timed ticket will be allocated at no extra cost to demo the Wii and PlayStation 3 consoles. So that as many visitors as possible get the chance to demo these consoles, visitors can only play one console and are requested to choose which console they would like to play when obtaining their demo tickets. Demo tickets will only be available on arrival at the Science Museum from any sales desk and cannot be obtained in advance. Please be advised that demo tickets are subject to availability and entrance to the Game On exhibition does not guarantee an opportunity to play these consoles. Demo tickets will operate on a first come, first served basis only.
From the PDP-1 of the 1960s to the latest must-have consoles Game On examines the technologies that have revolutionised the gaming world. The exhibition features the ten most influential consoles of all time plus more than 120 playable games so you'll be transported back in time to play some of the defining games of the last forty years and reminisce over the classic games of your childhood. Meanwhile younger gamers are introduced to the history of current gaming software and hardware and can get their hands on the now retro games that their parents played in their youth.
